Babangida town in Tarmowa Local government area of Yobe state, was attacked early sunday by Boko haram insurgents, however, they were repelled by soldiers.
A resident of the town told Daily Trust that the insurgents had parked their vehicles at the outskirts of the town, sneaking into the town on foot and motorcycles.
An old man was killed by the insurgents outside his tent while he was trying trying to escape.
