An eight year old girl from Lamban village in Gombe state has tested positive to Lassa fever.
The state Director of public health, Dr. Joshua Abubakar told newsmen that the girl's blood sample wa sent to Lagos where it was confirmed.
She is currently being kept in in isolated ward in a hospital and is responding to treatment.
